![]() On the flip side, rsham is way easier to play while stoned than rdruid. My only complaint between the two is that in heal spec, it's easier to kill things as a resto-kitty than a resto shaman in DPS gear. The best part is yet to come, Bloodlust is pretty amazing, but it's fairly flexible. Chain heal is way better than Blizz apparently wanted it to be, totems aren't that bad. It's hard to master, you'll have to put in work to be a great druid, but it's also a lot of fun so I think it's worth it. Does that mean you're going to perform flawlessly in that role? No, but it's Vanilla, the time of "close enough." It's annoying to manage gear sets, and thus storage, but it's really not that bad. Our specs aren't really powerful yet, so to change roles you really only need to change gear. It's just completely adaptable, and you're clutch for everything. I started playing back in BC, I'm still a huge fan. I cant really comment on Druids but I saw a post a few days ago of a Bear with 20k Armour, I think we can all appreciate that.ĭruid is my favorite class in WoW, full stop. ![]() Long story short it made me fall out of love with WoW as I couldn't be bothered to grind back to that level again, I stopped playing for a month until I re rolled Mage.īy level 16 I had more usable abilities than I did as a Shaman in the final third of level progression. At least I had max level to look forward to though, right? Being forced to heal as my two other specs weren't viable if I wanted to get anywhere. Saying that, Windfury was OP 20% of the time, every time. I levelled to mid forties as enhance and it couldn't have been more dull, a constant battle with RNG, Very poor CC, Auto attacking constantly and a rotation of three abilities. I saw that famous video of the Hand of Rag Enhance and instantly found myself at half mast, not realising that there was probably days of footage in between each proc. This was all a lack of any real pre game research that I put in. With that said there's no wrong choice as long as you're having fun! Leveling one can be at times harder than other classes but I think if you're up for a challenge of learning a decently complicated class then its the class for you. Totems give you the ability to enhance your party members while still having the ability to heal well, or dps somewhat well (albeit mediocre compared to pure DPS like fury warrs/rogues/mages etc). They feel super unique as a class with a lot of options as to how to approach a situation. I love the shaman class for its versatility. Elemental is really fun for pvp as are the other specs but typically will go Oom too fast to raid in any long fights, although still doable since MC isnt that tough for a competent 40man. Enhancement (melee) spec has its niche in raiding but theres far fewer of them. With that said though, if you're planning to raid you'll most likely have to go resto and heal. Ask any melee who theyd rather have in their raid group and theyll always want a windfury totem lol. Theyre not exactly as strong as a holy priest when it comes to raw healing output but what they lack in raw output they make up for in versatility. ![]() They can be a bit tough to catch on to because they have so many abilities ie totems. Theyre a really fun class if you like varying playstyles. I have a 60 shaman and have played shaman since vanilla through most Xpacs. ![]() R/WarcraftLore for anything related to WoW lore including current and old.
